Private tour

A 4 to 5-hour journey designed for those seeking the serenity of frozen forests and the exclusivity of a private service. Your guide will adapt the vehicle routes and walks according to weather and snow conditions, ensuring a safe and intimate visit to the most stunning corners of the National Park in its purest winter version.

Our winter adventure to Tierra del Fuego National Park begins with a transfer from Ushuaia, venturing into a landscape transformed by ice and snow. As an exclusively private service, the itinerary is designed on the spot, prioritizing traveler comfort and taking advantage of the day's best panoramic viewpoints.

The pace of the day is fully adaptable. Depending on the state of the trails, we can take gentle walks among snow-dusted Lenga trees or prioritize vehicle tours to visit the lakes and rivers, which at this time of year often feature frozen edges or white-rimmed shores. We will visit Lake Acigami, Laguna Verde, and the Ovando River—places that acquire a special mystique under the winter silence.

The journey culminates at the iconic Lapataia Bay, where the end of National Route 3 meets the icy waters of the Beagle Channel. After capturing unique views of this geographic landmark in its most rigorous environment, we will head back to Ushuaia with the warmth of having experienced the National Park in an authentic and personalized way.

This schedule is a proposed morning itinerary. The start time can be adjusted to the passenger's preferences with prior coordination and subject to availability, ensuring the flexibility of our private service.

  • 08:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Ushuaia.
  • 09:00 AM: Arrival and Exploration: Entrance to the National Park. We tour by vehicle and explore on foot the main attractions: Lake Acigami, Laguna Verde, Ovando River, and the Cormoranes Archipelago. We adapt walking times and photo stops according to your preferences.
  • 12:00 PM: Final Landmark: Arrival at Lapataia Bay, the crowning point that marks the end of National Route 3.
  • 01:15 PM: Arrival back in Ushuaia after exploring the Park at our own pace.

Important Note: While the activity durations and the order of the stops are flexible and coordinated with the guide on the day of the tour, the start time must be arranged in advance and is subject to availability. All plans are tailored to the group's preferences, the time of year, and the guide's professional assessment.

Essential Clothing: The "Onion" Method

To ensure comfort during outdoor activities, dressing in layers is crucial. The "onion" system allows you to adapt your clothes to changing weather conditions and your level of physical activity.

  • Layers: Wear several thin layers that can be easily put on or taken off to regulate your body temperature in response to wind or sun.
  • Footwear: This is the most important item. We recommend waterproof footwear that offers robust protection, ideal for walking on wet, muddy, or snowy terrain.
  • Jacket: Essential. A waterproof or water-resistant jacket will effectively protect you from rain and wind.

Recommended Clothing:

  • Thermal undergarments (shirt and leggings for those who are particularly sensitive to the cold).
  • Comfortable long pants for trekking.
  • Waterproof trekking boots for walking on mountainous terrain.
  • A fleece or microfleece jacket/sweatshirt.
  • A rain/windproof jacket. Ideal: Gore-tex or softshell.
  • Warm hat and neck warmer (buff). Gloves.
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen.
  • Bringing your own bottle helps us avoid using disposable plastics: we will have water to refill it!
